Greater Than Yourself
We give much lip-service and sentiment to the golden rule. However do we think that this could be the greatest statement in leadership?
When we invest in others and encourage them to be greater than ourselves, than we become the type of person who has people lining up to want to work with and for us. Think about it. The mentality of leading from positional authority only, leaves bruised and broken bodies in the wake. Think influence, think leading up, think Christ.
Jesus even says this, He mentions it to His core group of believers before He leaves them with the task He gave His life for. In the gospels Christ clearly states, “Look at what I have done, YOU can do even greater.”
This statement should challenge you to the core. It’s not about US it’s always about HIM, it’s always about others. It’s always about influencing others to become greater than yourself.
