The abstract solidified

We sing a worship song at church that has a tag line that says, “..nothing is impossible for You, You hold the world in Your hands.” This is obviously referring to God and his strength. I just wish that we as Christians would live our lives like we sing our songs on Sundays. I have so many people tell me how they could never step out and launch a church, or even be a part of a church launch, i have others that say, “wow, you need how much money, you know times are tough and you should only plan on raising about 1/4th of this.”

My question is this…

DID I MISS SOMETHING?

I thought that “nothing was impossible for God?” How is it, that we are able to claim that, and sing that, and say that when it comes to the abstract issues of life, but when realities become solidified we jump ship. And really this is the same issue with procrastination, we wait and wait, and say, ill do it tomorrow, and then tomorrow comes and we freak out and jump ship. God did not design us to jump ship, God designed us to cut through the waves. He designed us to push through the fog, and push through the cold ocean. He designed us to look out and say, “i don’t understand, i don’t see how it’s going to happen, but, i know what i have been called to do, and so that’s what I’m going to do.” Believe me, the rest is up to God.

So far for Covenant Church we have $2000 in our bank account. That means we only have $380,000 more to go. I wish that i could run you off a bank statement every month for your encouragement. Keep up with us, cause im telling you in advance that God has something in store for Covenant Church that is going to blow you all away.
